NIC eOffice moved government files onto the screen, and the signature moved with them. A green note, a draft or a dispatch gets signed on the eFile itself before it travels to the next officer, and eOffice calls the button DSC Sign and Send. Dealing officers and above sign this way, under a mandate that made digital signing compulsory before an eFile is forwarded. This post explains how registration works, when a DSC is needed and when Aadhaar eSign does the job, and how to get a certificate from us.
The certificate is used on the file, not on paper. The officer opens the eFile, signs the note or draft with the token plugged in, enters the PIN, and sends the file on. Registration is a one time step: the DSC Registration option on the eOffice login lists the certificate for signing, and from then on it is picked from a list whenever a signature is needed. The Digital Signer Service is the component that reaches the certificate on the token. The office IT team installs it on the machine once, not on every officer’s desk. Our DSC for eOffice file signing page carries the full picture, including the RAJKAJ route for Rajasthan offices.
This is the question to settle before spending anything. eOffice signs both ways. A DSC on a token signs files, and so does an Aadhaar eSign registered from the eFile home page. An officer who only signs files may not need a token at all. The DSC earns its keep where the same officer also signs bills on PFMS, enrols on a tender portal, or files returns, because one Class 3 signing certificate stretches across all of those while an eSign stays inside eOffice.
Class 3 signing, in the officer’s own name. On the class, the sources disagree. The DAR and PG material recommends Class 2 signing, one department FAQ lists both Class 2 and Class 3 as valid, and the Certifying Authority’s list of classes still defines Class 2. We supply Class 3 signing and nothing else. Current prices are on the Class 3 DSC product page, where you place the order. Before you pay, ask your department which class its own eOffice build accepts, and we will tell you plainly whether our certificate fits.
We are a Registration Authority (RA) for VSign, Capricorn, eMudhra, Sify, nCODE and PantaSign. These CCA-licensed Certifying Authorities issue the certificates. Application support is included in the price.
You order and pay on the site, and then we contact you. Send the department papers and your own documents on WhatsApp or by email, or bring them to our office, and we fill and submit the application for you. You do the Aadhaar OTP and the video KYC with the Certifying Authority, and we assist you at every step. The certificate arrives on a USB token, delivered or picked up from the office.
Once the certificate is on your token, you register it on eOffice yourself, from the DSC Registration option on the login. Plug in the token, enter the PIN and pick the certificate. Rajasthan offices work on RAJKAJ rather than eOffice, and the same Class 3 signing certificate works there through its own signer utility. We do not touch a department’s eOffice install. Registration on the portal is your step, and we assist you through it.
A DSC carries a validity of one to three years. An expired certificate drops off the signing list, and files waiting for that officer’s signature wait longer. Get the reissue before the expiry date and register the new certificate on eOffice the same way as the first one. Then enrol it again on every other portal where the old certificate was enrolled, each separately.
