Answer

Companies and LLPs need a Class 3 signing DSC for authorised signatories to file GST returns. The DSC must be registered on the GST portal with the signatory's PAN before use. We file the application for you; you do the Aadhaar OTP and video KYC with the Certifying Authority, which issues the certificate. 1 to 2 hours in Udaipur once the certificate is issued; same or next day in nearby towns; within 72 hours by Speed Post across India. We supply DSCs from VSign, Capricorn, eMudhra, Sify, nCODE and PantaSign.

Is a DSC mandatory for GST filing?
Yes, for companies and LLPs filing through an authorised signatory. Proprietors can often use Aadhaar eSign.
Which type of DSC is required?
Class 3 signing DSC in the name of the signatory.
Can the same DSC be used for MCA?
Yes, if the PAN matches. Separate registration is required on each portal.
What does verification require?
You confirm your mobile and email with OTPs, then do the Aadhaar OTP on the Aadhaar-linked mobile and the video KYC, both with the Certifying Authority. A final eKYC OTP on your phone approves the application. In the video KYC on the Aadhaar method you show no documents, and on the PAN method you show your original PAN card.
What is the validity period?
1 to 3 years. Get a reissued DSC before expiry.
Is a new token needed every time?
Only if it is FIPS 140-3. Since 21 September 2026 new certificates cannot go on older FIPS 140-2 tokens, so any token bought before then will not work. A new token is an add-on at checkout.
