Buying a DSC
Which DSC do I need for GST filing?
A Class 3 signing DSC, registered on the GST portal with the authorized signatory's PAN.
What is the difference between signing and combo?
Signing covers signatures. Combo adds an encryption certificate on the same token, which many e-tendering portals require.
How much does a DSC cost?
Class 3 signing is ₹1,040, ₹1,200 or ₹1,820 for 1, 2 or 3 years. Combo and DGFT are ₹2,090, ₹2,410 or ₹3,630. A USB e-token is ₹550 if you need one. Application support is included in every price.
eKYC and verification
How does the process work?
You pay on the site and send us your documents on WhatsApp, by email or at our Udaipur office. We fill and submit the application to the Certifying Authority. You then confirm your mobile and email with OTPs, do the Aadhaar OTP and video KYC with them, and a final eKYC OTP on your phone approves the application. We assist you at every step.
Do I have to upload my Aadhaar or PAN on this site?
No. There is no upload or file field here. Send the documents to us on WhatsApp, by email, or bring them to the office, and we put them into the application for you.
Do I fill the application myself?
No. We fill it and submit it to the Certifying Authority for you. The steps you do are the mobile and email OTPs, the Aadhaar OTP, the video KYC and the final eKYC OTP, all with the Certifying Authority, with our help at every step.
What will I need to do after I pay?
After you pay, we contact you for the documents and fill the application. Then you confirm your mobile and email with OTPs, do the Aadhaar OTP and video KYC with the Certifying Authority, and a final eKYC OTP on your phone approves the application. Keep your phone with the Aadhaar-linked mobile, access to your email and a quiet, well-lit place for the video KYC ready. On the Aadhaar method you need no documents in the video KYC. On the PAN method you show your original PAN card. We assist you at every step.
If your Aadhaar is not linked
My Aadhaar is not linked to my phone. Can I still get a DSC?
Yes. Tell us you would like the PAN method and we apply that way. The Certifying Authority checks your PAN with the Income Tax database and your mobile number with the telecom company or your bank, instead of sending an Aadhaar OTP. You need a scanned copy of your PAN card, a passport-size photo and a government address proof. The video KYC is the same as on the Aadhaar route, except that you show your original PAN card and the address proof to the camera.
Can I apply without Aadhaar?
Yes, if you have a PAN. The rules ask every DSC applicant for a PAN or an Aadhaar number, so the PAN method is the way when the Aadhaar OTP is not possible. If you have neither, talk to us before you order.
What documents do I need for the PAN method?
A scanned copy of your PAN card, a passport-size photo, and a government address proof such as a passport, driving licence, voter ID, bank statement or a utility bill from the last 3 months. Your mobile number should be registered in your name. In the video KYC you hold your original PAN card and the address proof up to the camera.
Is video KYC required for the PAN method?
Yes. Video KYC is part of every DSC application, whichever method you use. On the PAN method you hold your original PAN card and the address proof up to the camera so the Certifying Authority can read them.
Does the PAN method change the price or the validity?
No. The certificate is the same class and validity as on the Aadhaar route, and our price is the same for both methods.
What if my mobile number is not registered in my name?
The Certifying Authority checks the number against telecom or bank records first, so the name on it has to match the name on your PAN. If it does not match, the PAN method may not be available to you. Tell us the number before you order and we will say what your options are.
Delivery and pickup
How long does delivery take?
Within 1 to 2 hours in Udaipur, same day or next day in nearby towns, and within 72 hours by Speed Post across India. Times count from issuance.
How much is delivery?
₹150 flat on every delivered order, Udaipur included. Pickup from our Hiran Magri office is free.
USB e-tokens
Do I need a new token?
Yes, if you bought your token before 21 September 2026. New certificates and renewals can now go only on FIPS 140-3 tokens, and older tokens will not work. A new USB e-token costs ₹550. A certificate already on your old token keeps working until it expires.
What if my token is lost or PIN-locked?
The certificate may need revocation and reissue, charged as a new order.
After expiry
What happens when my DSC expires?
It stops working. You get a reissue, which is a new certificate with fresh KYC, not a renewal of the same one. We file it for you again.
Can I use the same token after reissue?
Yes, if the token still works.
Encryption and eProc
Do I need an encryption certificate for Rajasthan eProc?
No. A Class 3 signing DSC is enough for Rajasthan eProc. We recommend the combo for e-tenders in other states or on India-wide portals.
What is an encryption certificate, and when do I need the combo?
Signing is the half of the certificate that signs your returns, forms and bids. The combo adds an encryption certificate on the same token, which tender portals of other states, India-wide portals and ICEGATE ask for. If your work is GST, MCA, Income Tax, EPFO or Rajasthan eProc, the signing certificate on its own is enough.
Where a DSC is used
Which portals take a Class 3 signing DSC?
GST returns, MCA and ROC filings, E-tendering, Import and export, Foreign nationals, Reissue a DSC, EPFO employer, Income Tax, ICEGATE (customs), GeM selling, Railway tenders (IREPS), TDS on TRACES, Trademark and patent, Organisation DSC, Government officers, Bid openers, eOffice signing and PFMS and IFMS bills. Every one of them has its own page here, listed together under All uses.
Can one certificate cover several of these?
Yes, in almost every case. A Class 3 signing certificate is issued to a person or an entity and works across the tax, business and trade portals, because the portals check the certificate, not the filing. What does not carry across is encryption: a tender portal of another state or an India-wide portal wants the combo, and each portal still has to be registered separately, once per portal.
Do I need a DSC for EPFO?
Employers on the Unified Portal register a certificate or an e-Sign for ECR work. A Class 3 signing DSC is what you use when you want the same certificate to work on your other filings too, and it is registered on the portal once, under the Establishment tab. Proprietors can sign with an individual certificate.
Do I need a DSC for Income Tax e-filing?
Not for every return. A return filed without a DSC needs an OTP on the Aadhaar-linked mobile, so a Class 3 signing DSC is what you use when the return is large, when you are signing a tax audit report (Form 3CA, 3CB or 3CD), when you file Form 15CA and 15CB for a client, or when you would rather not depend on the OTP. Chartered accountants sign with their own certificate.
Do I need a DSC for TRACES?
For deductors, yes. An employee who only downloads Form 16 does not need one. A deductor registers a Class 3 signing DSC on TRACES for TDS correction statements and for the annual TDS returns, and the same certificate works on the Income Tax portal.
Do I need a DSC for ICEGATE customs filing?
Yes. ICEGATE signs its documents with a digital signature, so a certificate has to be registered on the portal before a shipping bill or a bill of entry will go through. ICEGATE asks for signing and encryption together, which is the Class 3 combo. Your DGFT certificate does not carry across; each portal takes its own registration.
Do I need a DSC for GeM?
For signing on GeM, yes. Foreign sellers have to sign with a DSC. Domestic sellers can also sign with an OTP on their Aadhaar-linked mobile or with an e-Sign, and many start that way. If you bid often, or you are a foreign seller, register a Class 3 signing DSC on your seller profile.
Do I need a DSC for IREPS railway tenders?
Yes. Bidder registration on IREPS, the Indian Railways e-procurement portal, is done with a Class 3 combo DSC (signing and encryption) in the firm's name, so a proprietorship or a firm registers the certificate that carries its name rather than a director's personal one.
Do I need a DSC for trademark or patent filing?
IP India accepts a DSC or an e-sign. The e-sign comes from the portal's authorised vendor against your Aadhaar or PAN. Agents who sign for clients, and applicants who would rather not add another vendor to the chain, use a Class 3 signing certificate registered on the IP India control panel. The same certificate covers a trademark application and a patent application.
When do I need an organisation DSC rather than my own?
When the portal has to see the entity signing, not the person. Filings and tenders made on behalf of a company, LLP or firm are signed with an organisation Class 3 certificate, which carries the entity's name and shows you as the authorised signatory. An individual certificate is in your own name and works when you are signing for yourself. The price is the same either way; only the documents change.
Do I need a DSC for ESIC?
Employers filing contribution returns register a Class 3 signing DSC on the ESIC portal. The same certificate you use for EPFO works there too, and it is registered on each portal separately.
Can I use my DSC for NSDL or CDSL?
Yes. Depository e-signing uses a Class 3 signing certificate, the same kind you use for GST and MCA. Your depository participant registers the certificate on its own system, so ask them how they want it added.
Can I use a DSC for NGO Darpan or FCRA registration?
NGO Darpan and FCRA work is signed with a Class 3 certificate. Whether it should be in the name of the trust or society, or in your own name, depends on the trust deed and on how the portal records you. Tell us which registration it is and we will say which fits.
Foreign nationals
Can foreign nationals get a DSC?
Yes, with a passport and overseas address proof. The price depends on your documents, so there is no listed price. Send us the company and the state and we will quote.
Refunds
Can I get a refund?
You get a full refund until the certificate is issued. After issuance it is non-refundable. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 working days. If the Certifying Authority refuses your application, we refund in full.
