Udaipur and the surrounding districts export marble, granite and handicrafts. Rajsamand is described by the DIPR as the largest marble producing district in the country with marble slab and article clusters at Aidana and Siyana, Meenakari at Nathdwara, terra cotta at Molela and JK Tyres at Kankroli. Udaipur has marble slab and tile units. Dungarpur has stone artware, temple pillars, garden items, marble handicrafts and terracotta clusters. Banswara lists marble slabs and tiles and marble products clusters with exportable items including yarn and marble slabs and tiles.
These businesses need an Import Export Code (IEC) and use the DGFT portal for licence applications, modifications and filings such as Advance Authorisation and EPCG schemes. The DGFT portal requires a Digital Signature Certificate for these transactions. The customs side runs on another portal: shipping bills and bills of entry are signed on ICEGATE, which asks for signing and encryption together, so it takes the Class 3 combo. We have a page for that too, DSC for ICEGATE.
The DGFT DSC registration document states that a DSC should be Class 2 or 3 issued by a CCA approved Certifying Authority. Both individual and organisation tokens are supported. For proprietorships the certificate’s Serial Number field must match the SHA-256 hash of the PAN in the IEC profile. For other entities the organisation name (O) in the certificate must match the PAN name. Aadhaar eSign is offered as an alternative.
The DGFT document describes Class 2 support as continuing for a limited time. Check the current DGFT site before purchasing, as rules may have changed.
A proprietor can use an individual token where the serial number matches the PAN hash. A partnership firm, LLP or company needs an organisation token where the organisation name matches the PAN name. The signatory must be the person authorised in the IEC profile. Mismatched details are a common cause of registration failure.
The documents you need depend on your entity type; see our documents page for the checklist. The name on the PAN must match the name in the IEC profile and the certificate. Any discrepancy in spelling, abbreviations or order of names will cause a mismatch.
We are a Registration Authority (RA) for VSign, Capricorn, eMudhra, Sify, nCODE and PantaSign. These CCA-licensed Certifying Authorities issue the certificates. We help you apply and the application support is included in the price. We fill and submit the application for you, and you confirm your mobile and email with OTPs, then complete the Aadhaar OTP and video KYC with the Certifying Authority, and a final eKYC OTP on your phone approves the application. Once issued, pickup from our Hiran Magri office is free and courier delivery across India carries a flat charge per order. Delivery within 1 to 2 hours in Udaipur once issued. Same day or next day in nearby towns. Within 72 hours by Speed Post across India.
