# DSC renewal (reissue)

A DSC is valid for 1 to 3 years. After expiry it stops working. Reissue requires fresh KYC. Since 21 September 2026 the new certificate must go on a FIPS 140-3 token, so any token bought before then needs replacing. We file the reissue for you. 1 to 2 hours in Udaipur once the certificate is issued; same or next day in nearby towns; within 72 hours by Speed Post across India. We supply DSCs from VSign, Capricorn, eMudhra, Sify, nCODE and PantaSign.

## Who needs this

- Holders with a DSC nearing expiry who file GST returns
- Directors with expiring DSCs
- Tender bidders using combo DSCs
- IEC holders

## Documents required

- Existing DSC details and working token
- PAN
- Aadhaar card, linked to that PAN and to the mobile (photo captured live in the CA's video KYC)
- Recent photo, uploaded on the CA's own application or captured in its video KYC

## Process

1. **Send us your documents.** Send them on WhatsApp, by email or at our Udaipur office, and we fill the application
2. **Complete payment.** Pay for the DSC reissue and any add-ons
3. **We submit, you do the KYC.** We file the reissue with the Certifying Authority. You then confirm your mobile and email with OTPs, do the Aadhaar OTP and video KYC with them, and a final eKYC OTP on your phone approves the application. We assist you at every step.
4. **Download and register.** Download to a FIPS 140-3 token (older FIPS 140-2 tokens cannot take a renewal since 21 September 2026) and register again on each portal

## Frequently asked questions

**When should you reissue?**

Before expiry. An expired DSC cannot sign.

**Is verification required again?**

Yes.

**Will it use the same token?**

Only if it is a FIPS 140-3 token. Since 21 September 2026 renewals cannot go on older FIPS 140-2 tokens, so any token bought before then will not work.

**Do you need to register again on portals?**

Yes, on every portal.

**Can you change the CA?**

Yes, fresh KYC is required.

**What if the DSC has already expired?**

Apply immediately. Signing remains blocked until the new DSC is issued.
